ICS-1000
ICS-1000 is a high strength gypsum bonded investment containing non mineralized
Cristobalite and special graded alumina silicate refractory fillers.
This investment can be used in large castings of Aluminum, Brass or Bronze alloys.
ICS-1000 is blended with reinforcing glass fibers, in order to improve resistance to cracking and core shift.
ICS-1000 investment has the following properties:
- Low rise under vacuum - ICS-1000 contains special additives to control the rise or boiling action of the investment when placed under vacuum. These additives also improve the wetting of wax patterns helping to eliminate air bubbles.
- Smooth surface finish - wetting agents have been formulated into ICS-1000 to reduce entrapped air and to insure that extremely fine details can be duplicated.
- Quality and consistency - The following characteristics of ICS-1000 are typical at the date of manufacture @ a water to powder ratio of 27 parts water to 100 parts powder.
